Winter sports enthusiasts will get their money’s worth on the snow-safe, excellently prepared cross-country ski runs and slopes. And last but not least, the adventurous element of water will provide a manifold supply of activities all the year round.
Golf
The Tegernsee valley provides ideal conditions for all golfers – both advanced as well as beginners. Two 18-hole golf courses, a 6-hole pitch-and-put as well as a driving range are all located in the direct vicinity.

Hiking
The Tegernsee mountains are a true hiker's paradise. From simple walks along idyllic creeks to challenging peak ascents, all tastes and demands are catered to. The well marked hiking routes will take you past numerous quaint alp lodges where you might want to stop for a bite to eat. Theatre
The Tegernsee public theatre was founded over 100 years ago. Enthusiasts of the Bavarian culture will certainly get their money’s worth here. The popular plays are performed in the Stammhaus, Ludwig-Thoma-Saal as well as in the open air theatre. www.volkstheater.de
Winter sports
A lot of decent sized ski areas round lake Tegernsee offer ideal conditions during the winter months. The “Sutten” area and the Oedberg in Ostin are situated in the direct vicinity and Achensee and Kitzbühel in Austria are about an hours drive away. Numerous well-prepared ski slopes are available for beginners as well as for experts. The resident ski-school helps, should you dare to take the first steps on skis.
